Immersed in the glamour of the decadent Bush Hall, ornate and crowned with chandeliers dripping crystals, the last thing you expect is your wine to be served in a plastic cup; neither do you expect to be surrounded by people more interested in sending texts, or taking photos than concentrating on the wonderful carefree sounds of Mister Ben Kweller.»

135 years ago Friedrich Nietzsche described the perfect tragedy, the highest form of art, as the convergence of two diametrically opposed forces in a ‘marvelous metaphysical act’. These two forces were the Gods; Apollo of music, drunkenness and instinct meeting in a marital bliss with Dionysus, the God of visual arts, reason and rationality. Nietzsche offered Wagner as the epitome of his theories, but I think tonight, I’ve found a better example.»
