To say we are excited about this night would be an understatement…

DANIEL A.I.U. HIGGS
LAST OF THE REAL HARDMEN
Monday 12th March, 8pm start – 10pm finish
Lee Rosy's Tea Rooms, Nottingham
£4 adv / £5 door
ALL AGES welcome! Capacity is limited so please buy a ticket! We are already half way to being sold out!

DANIEL A.I.U. HIGGS
Daniel A.I.U Higgs, Interdimensional Song-Seamstress and Corpse-Dancer of the Mystic Crags was born in the Harbor City of Baltimore, U.S.A. in the early-mid sixties of the previous millennium. Having begun singing 25 years ago, he is perhaps best known as the singer and lyricist of the band Lungfish, which is now, as it often has been, quasi if not entirely defunct. Presently, the music he manifests proceeds without the blessing/curse and help/hindrance of collaborative influence. Daniel currently has two solo albums, one on Ian MacKaye's Northern Liberties imprint and a new album on Holy Mountain.

LAST OF THE REAL HARDMEN
LOTRHM is the catch-all term for the music made by Chris Summerlin (from the bands Lords and Felix and formerly of Wolves Of Greece and Reynolds). Sometimes solo and acoustic, sometimes joined by strings, sometimes an electrified free-rock blowout... sometimes good, sometimes bad. Lately more electric and fumbly like later era Fahey or Loren Connors maybe. Hmm. The sudden burst of gigular activity is due to the release of many records: a song in tribute to Ron Asheton on a split 8" with Gareth Hardwick; a long, strange album on Unlabel called "Another Country"; and a collection of more sentimental song-y stuff on Bird War called "10,000 Miles".

Tickets available now from We Got Tickets (50p fee per ticket), Selectadisc and direct from us via at gigs.

Plus you can go along to the KneeKnees gig @ The Rose Of England straight afterwards, and get in for £3 with the DY! doggie handstamp.

Lee Patterson/Rhodri Davies/Angharad Davies, Nancy Elizabeth Cunliffe, Matt Milton & Patrick Farmer, om & Jerry Wigens
