...I would like to think I can spot a decent band when I hear one and I would put money on Venus Mischiefs being signed this year. I have not heard an unsigned band this good in years. Louis Roger has a fantastically unique voice. The bands sound is wild yet brilliantly structured, raw yet polished. With frantic guitar and edgy vocals, this is pure unadulterated rock and roll. With influences from Radiohead, Nick Cave and The Pixies the boys manage to have a sound all of their own. The Kings of Leon-esque Penny Penny could, and should, be on radio play lists right now.
