"Liverpool Calling" will be back on Friday 1st August with a VERY special guest!

Calvin Johnson, the Seattle legend who founded the seminal Beat Happening, Halo Benders & K Records, will be gracing our club night at the sedate grounds of St. Brides Church.

"Johnson was a founding member of the bands Cool Rays, Beat Happening, The Go Team, Dub Narcotic Sound System, and The Halo Benders. Calvin Johnson is also the founder and owner of the influential indie label K Records, and has been cited as a major player in the beginning of the modern independent music movement."

He's the guy who inspired people such as Kurt Cobain, the Riot Grrl movement, and worked with The Gossip, Beck and others...this gonna be a great evening!
