Popklubb are thrilled to announce that they are hosting, in joint collaboration with fellow local promoters Fakeindielabel, the magnificent Pelle Carlberg.

Pelle's new album 'The Lilac Time' has been rapidly gathering critical plaudits in recent weeks is, well to our humble ears, his finest yet. As well as single '1983' there's the likes of 'Nicknames,' a sweet collaboration with Karolina from fellow Swedish band Club 8, and the melodic attack of 'Fly me to the moon!'
Pelle's output is frequently compared to the folk pop of early Belle and Sebastian. He is one of the leading lights of the Swedish indiepop scene which has produced so many gems of singles in recent years, and rather like Irene and Lacrosse before them this is a rare chance to catch the band as they rarely tour outside of London, and certainly not up North! It's also a rare FULL BAND performance as he oftens performs solo over on these shores.
