Folklore is the side project of Elf Power’s guitarist Jimmy Hughes and is speckled with indiepop gems like ‘The Vet’ and ‘The Kid’. Based around a true-life character H.W. Beaverman the album is an epic listen that takes just over 30 minutes to spin its fascinating tale. This is another affirmation that the album will always be with us no matter how many shuffle earphones are being slung into young ears.
