Rockfeedback + Rough Trade Records special showcase show w/ Basia Bulat, The Veils + Joe Worricker @ The Lexington 18th May

dan_shocks [Edit] [Delete] 12:28, 29 April '09

Rockfeedback hooks up with one of the world's most independent thinking, important and wonderful stamps of quality of quality that is a record label, Rough Trade Records for a special monday night (mostly) acoustic showcase of three of their artists.

Featuring:

BASIA BULAT: Amazing Canadian artist making music full of hooks and handclaps, she's got a ton of wonderfully joyous songs with live performances often ending up with half of the audience on stage and joining in.

THE VEILS (acoustic show): An absolutely wonderful band full of unique songs of heartbreak and raw, emotive, compelling ballads fit to inspire real devotion - explaining their incredibly loyal and evangelical fanbase. This special label show will consist of a one-off acoustic show from the band.

JOE WORRICKER: A excitingly individual new artist from London, and a new signing to Rough Trade records, Joe Worricker possesses an oddly captivating and strangely toned vocal reminiscent of Anthony Hegarty (of ‘and the Johnsons’ fame) that manages to contain both a lifetime of jazz clubs and a youthful originality all in one.

Tickets will set you back just £6.00 (a sixer) in advance, and you should snap ‘em up here quicker than a cheetah at full pelt - http://www.wegottickets.com/event/48674

That grab bag of loveliness is at The Lexington (96-98 Pentonville Road, London – between Kings Cross and Angel underground stations) is on the 18th May 2009, doors from 7.30pm.
