? SHRAG ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?

SHRAG bring their female fronted agit-pop to Sheffield for the first time in support of their first lp proper, 'LIFE! DEATH! PRIZES!'.

Favourites of BBC6's Marc Riley, they've been invited out as main tour support twice by The Cribs, and having made a triumphant debut at Indietracks, 2010 could well be their year.

“Brighton's boy-girl scuzzpoppers Shrag flash back to the heyday of such personages as The Mekons or The Raincoats, bringing analytical attitude to the debased trade of pop and serving it up with
bulldozing portions of raw guitar noise.” UNCUT

"UK-based quintet Shrag, like many of their 1970s indie-punk forebears, are one of those bands whose tunes and natural charisma could easily endear them to a wider audience, but whom the vagaries of record release dates, hype cycles, and airline prices have so far conspired to keep a well-loved secret." PITCHFORK

? Pygmy Globetrotters ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?

The Pygmies' Rob Gordon (Forgemasters/Warp) mastered debut album, 'New Ado' out at the end of September on White Label Music. Here's what folks have been saying about them...

“...equal parts ‘Born Slippy’ era Underworld meets Crystal Castles” NME

“Cutting-edge machine beats, on vibrating, subsonic bass riffs, spindly synth riffs and the dark, diseased imaginings of two boys cut off from it all, cast adrift 150 miles from the mundane, media mainstream” The Guardian

“Pygmy Globetrotters are using junk-shop keyboards and cheap laptops to offer a digital update of budget analogue pop.” The Sunday Times Magazine

? Liars Beware ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?

Sheffield scuzz rock supergroup plays their third ever gig, fresh from #2, a BBC6 session for Marc Riley. Debut release, 'The Last 24 Hours' out now on Odd Box Records.
