Edinburgh's premier pseudo-italian synth rock pioneers return for their annual Hallowe'en mess up, this time with The Leg and The Oates Field in tow.

Expect fancy dress, convulsive dancing, and carnage.

Our Ladies of Sorrow create a synth-rock opera accompanied by images from cult horror movies (Argento, Jodorowsky, Bava, Fulci, Zulawski...), with a knowing nod to their classic soundtracks. It comprises as an eagleowl side-project, but with a revolving cast of supporting musicians, this year incorporating members of Woodenbox with a Fistful of Fivers and the Pineapple Chunks.

Convening to play only once a year, they've quickly amassed a cult following. Fancy dress is optional, but encouraged. Lets get messy.

The Leg are the enigmatic vehicle for John Peel-approved songwriter Dan Mutch (Khaya, Desc). Having prepared a special Hallowe'en themed set for last year's show, complete with costumes, they were forced to pull out at the last minute. So their performance this year is something long overdue, and very highly anticipated.

The Oates Field is the latest full band incarnation for Alan Oates (Little Pebble/Come In Tokyo). Taking the songwriting remnants of the now defunct Come in Tokyo, and expanded from a duo to a three piece with the recent addition of Iona Marshall on bass and vocals, the Oates Field create a raw, incendiary noise.
