Launch party stars...

The Lysergic Suite

The electro/psychedelic rock trio, hit Manchester on Saturday night. Last summer they released their highly anticipated debut E.P, 'Ghosts On Crusade'. It got people taking notice, industry attention and excellent reviews.

They start 2011 widely tipped. The EPs title track also features Tom Meighan on vocals. Its the first time he's worked outside of Kasabian, but asked to sing after hearing demos of The Lysergic Suite's self titled debut album. Recorded by the band themselves with two of the tracks co-produced and mixed by Tim Holmes (Death In Vegas) it is genuinely anticipated.

Deadbeat Echoes

Urchin pop wave explodes. Youth is wasted on the young, so they say. Not in the case of Deadbeat Echoes. Four teenagers, musically and geographically from mid way between Manchester and Liverpool, playing pop music for people from the darker side of town.

"For my money the Deadbeat Echoes are going to break out and be massive. They have got everything right from the tunes to the attitude to the innate genius and the work ethic." (John Robb, Louder Than War)

With very special guests, The Outer Circle who have formed from the ashes of Manchestesr brashest rock'n'rollers, Rum Diamond (gigged with Pete Doherty, Kid British, Dogs etc) and The Dead Celebs ("Cutting razor-lead and intricate off beat rhythms mixed together with urchin vocals at speed-camera troubling velocity" - Manchester Music). This ones to watch supergroup make their Manchester debut this very evening.

Where's Strutter. 48 Hour Party People.
