GOODNIGHT AND I WISH (LIVE)

Goodnight And I Wish are a new London five – piece, drawing their main influences from mid 1960's British Invasion and Beat bands like Herman's Hermits, The Kinks, The Dave Clark Five and The Beatles. But it's not all just home-grown, much like the bands of the time, there are also hints of American Blues and Rock'n'Roll hailing from the Chess Records movement of the 1940's – 1960's, plus, Del Shannon style hooks and the raw pop edge of Australia's finest export The EasyBeats. More modern references for the younger members of the audience include acts such as Blur, The Coral and The La's.

Formed by Brandon Jacobs, the band consist of Thomas Warren on bass, Kelly Thomas on keys and vocals, David Smith on guitar and John Linger on drums. Expect energetic, catchy guitar lines and thundering beats, set to hypnotic, timeless melodies that will forever stay locked inside your head. Promising to help re-establish decent British bands back on the radar, Goodnight And I Wish will be performing tacks from their forthcoming debut EP, Jack In The Box, being released on Tape Records, later this year.

Cruella Ribbons

Cruella Ribbons is Kelly White. She’s not your average girl, never seen without her red lipstick and perfect hair, but her chipped nail varnish and fingers cut to ribbons show her life- long dedication to the guitar. She classes her fierce female influences refreshingly between Annie Lennox, Mo-dettes, Le Tigre, Grace Jones and Dusty Springfield . Once a member of Theoretical Girl’s backing band ‘The Equations’, she's now strutting out with her own with the aid of her wonderful bassist Serra. Doing this has allowed Cruella to demonstrate the culmination of her musical influences she's been developing for years... much like her hairstyles... her music is ever evolving......
