Arrive early for a live set by Oxford's Brickwork Lizards, 7-piece band featuring oud, cello, guitar, keys, trumpet and percussion under the silky Arabic vocals of Tarik Bashir and the wise words and witty of MC Tomohawk. A smoky film noir soundscape of '30s and '40s influences with beats, grooves and raps, Middle Eastern oud and Arabic vocals - plus MC Tomohawk bringing the band to the audience.

Their album 'Zaman' is out now featuring elements of blues, jazz, skiffle, rock, classical, folk, country and swing with African percussive styles and, of course, the floating Arabian melodies of Bashir. Add on top of this the outgoing and comedic rapping of MC Tomohawk, and you can see that Brickwork Lizards are most certainly eclectic in their influences but, crucially, they are blending them together in a fresh and innovative direction.

DJ Gringo Da Parada brings a uniquely adventurous, devil-may-care eclecticism to the decks and his mercurial mixmastery is perfectly suited to strange ritualistic occasions like Hallowe'en. The Favela Chic co-founder Gringo Da Parada revels in creative juxtaposition - surfing across musical waves, genres, decades and continents and taking the crowd on a real journey through space and time. Expect techno alongside a classic French chanson, punk next to electropop, rockin' guitars alongside smooth bossa novas, The Clash, Spankrock and Fela Kuti next to Seu Jorge, Scratch Perverts and Serge Gainsbourg.
