"Sailplanes recall scrappy yet ambitious art-pop like Life Without Buildings, Electrelane and The Raincoats. From London via Berlin and back again, bringing with them some of that city's coldness and desolate edge, Sailplanes have toned-down the abrasive sounds of their first album to produce an altogether more accessible proposition. Sailplanes comprise Tim and Stacey, who run the boutique effects pedal company Fredric Effects, Yola who currently also drums with Adam Ant, and John who also makes solo experimental music as F.M.G."
