COME are a seminal American alternative rock band formed in Boston in 1990. They were also linked to the Oberlin scene that spawned fellow post rock/slow core legends Bitch Magnet and Codeine.

Celebrating the 2013 reissue of the long out of print debut album ‘11:11’ (Matador/Glitterhouse) the band reform with original members:Thalia Zedek - Guitar/Vocals, Chris Brokaw - Guitar/Vocals
Arthur Johnson - Drums, Sean O‘Brien - Bass

In 1992, COME released their debut album, 11:11 on Matador Record. IT received critical acclaim from both the independent and mainstream press - and also from such rock luminaries as Dinosaur Jr.’s J. Mascis, Hüsker Dü’s Bob Mould, and Nirvana’s Kurt Cobain.

The band released 3 further albums (ON Matador, Domino, Beggars Banquet) AND toured throughout US/Europe with Dinosaur Jr, The Breeders, Nirvana and Throwing Muses.
COME last played the UK 15 years ago in May 1998 at the Garage.

Thalia Zedek - Guitar/Vocals
Chris Brokaw - Guitar/Vocals
Arthur Johnson - Drums
Sean O‘Brien - Bass

Michael (Lazarus Clamp)"Their dense, intense sound combined three striking elements. Firstly, there was the cold-as winter, sharp-and-brittle Post-Punk tonality which was characteristic of the Oberlin scene. secondly, this was driven by a heavy and intricate take on the Blues: broken, then reconstructed, but knotted and twisted into new and jagged shapes. Thirdly, there were Zedek's Vocals: grainy, throaty, and straining to rise above the throttling engine of one of the best drilled bands on the early 1990's circuit. The live experience was not dissimilar to being hit by a truck. No one imitated them at the time, and no one has dared to do so since."
