Sat May 18 - The Wave Pictures DJ at How Does It Feel To Be Loved? at The Phoenix

hdif [Edit] [Delete] 11:40, 16 May '13

Our guest DJs this month are David and Franic of The Wave Pictures. They've DJ-ed at the club several times and always turn in an excellent set, from indiepop to rock'n'roll and back again, and I'm really looking forward to seeing what they planned for us this time around.

Admission is the usual price of £4 for members and £6 for non-members and £6 in advance. You can pick up an advance ticket here - http://www.wegottickets.com/event/221185

Indie song of the week: Well, it has to be "Hand In Glove", doesn't it, but a special mention as well for "He's Frank (Slight Return)" by The Monochrome Set, which has soundtracked the last couple of weeks for me. Released in 1978, this sounds years ahead of its time now.

Soul song of the week: An absolute killer of a soul tune this month, "My Heart Is In Danger by Alder Ray. What a tune! Can't wait to dance to this one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qr8VczPz3Bg
