Helen & The Horns - Prince Albert Brighton 28/9/14

spinningchilli [Edit] [Delete] 08:47, 27 September '14

A rare chance to see Helen and the Horns in Brighton at The Prince Albert, 48 Trafalgar St, BN1 4ED

Formed by Helen McCookerybook (Joby & The Hooligans/The Chefs) in the early 80s their jazzy, rockabilly tunes with a Doris Day sound were regularly aired on John Peel's radio show. They recorded three sessions for Peelie and toured all over the UK/Europe. Recent release by Damaged Goods 'Footsteps at My Door' contains these tracks and another LP on their own label.

Brilliant skifflebilly trio Bad Bad Whiskey support.

Doors 8pm, adv. tickets from Resident & http://www.wegottickets.com/event/275035
£10 on the door
