Sheffield's Mardy Bums have lost their guitarist.

Their label says:

"We regret to announce that our guitarist and founding member of The Mardy Bums, Piers, has left the band as of today. His departure has come about due to, in his words, "the continued stress of being in the most hated band in South Yorkshire."

On Saturday night, as Pier walked home from a rehearsal, he was shot at from a passing car. Paramedics later removed a small airgun pellet from his left buttock. He stated that "There was a shout of 'have that you mardy front bum!' and then me arse stung like buggery."

The band tried to change Piers mind, but he was resolute. "Fuck this for a game of soldiers" were his final words on the matter."

Why doens't this happen to those who deserve it?
