I'm heading off to Beano's in Croydon - the biggest second hand music shop ever or something in a bit - last time I went there I went a bit crazy, mainly buying crap 20p britpop singles I didnt need.

This time I want to be more focused - and am looking to get some old albums that I might not know about from the golden days of alt rock. I've been a bit lazy in really looking in to the era - I was only born in 1984 - and think I am probably missing a few gems. I have (I think) most of the obvious ones, (Pavement, Sonic Youth, Guided By Voices, Built To Spill, Sebadoh etc.) but please point me in the direction of anything you think I may not have heard that is worth checking out.
