I've been to their Manchester gig last Tuesday. They were simply amazing.

Good gigs should not only be fun, but be an experience. Change you, inspire you and turn a band you quite like into one of your favourite bands...The Gossip were ace: the way they look, the way they move the way they sound...proper rock'n'roll, full of soul and energy. And great fun!

Sorry, shit like Boy Kill Boy and Larrikin Love simply don't cut it - only the most gullible indie types can fail to see how pathetic they are.

The list of overrated bands that DiS/NME/Artrocker/ etc likes is long - from Giant Drag to Young Knives to Mystery Jets...
really, I can't believe people can truly get excited by those bands - who'll inevitably join the likes of Swervedriver/ JJ72/ Marion/ Bluetones etc...ok bands (at best) that time will deem irrelevant.

Maybe people are content with little...the way some London punters (for instance) seem to enjoy any sub-Libs band seem to show as much.

Now...The Gossip, they ARE truly amazing. They are like Husker Du, Sonic Youth...
