Mumm-ra/Mumrah: the confusion.

Guthrie [Edit] [Delete] 17:01, 8 August '06

It's been bothering me. In case it's been bothering anyone else:

MUMM-RA are a better-than-average indie-rock band from Bexhill-on-Sea. They used to have a sitar player. They don't anymore, but their singer now has a stick.

MUMRAH are a bum-kicking prog-punk-ska sort of outfit from London. They never had a sitar player, or a stick, and they don't want either.

MUMM-RA are the ones you've been hearing on the radio. They've got catchy tunes and videos on MTV2 and stuff.

MUMRAH aren't famous. They have a low-budget EP, 'Huzzah!', out on Riot Music. It has catchy tunes, they're just buried inside less catchy tunes.

MUMM-RA are all quite handsome young men. But type their name into Google and the first page is full of this ugly mummified cartoon dude.

MUMRAH look like ugly mummified cartoon dudes. They're the ones you see when you type their name into Google.

MUMM-RA are good.

MUMRAH are ACE.

I hope this helps.
