Bands #1: Red House Painters / Mark Kozelek
Back when I fleetingly wrote for this site, I added this band to the database and have since seen 40 odd people rate them. But listening to them for the first time in a while, I've been inspired to give them a mention.
Firstly, I would write an MP3 blog but I don't and wouldn't know how to start one. Besides, I'm tired. So is a one-off blog of sorts dedicated to RHP.
They're a band who've never tired on me however much I listen. Which can't be said for most of the bands I've bought records by. And that's a lot.
If it takes you, download a few of these mp3's that I spent longer than I should have finding and see what you think.
Some of you wont like these, but some of you will. So maybe this is worthwhile afterall.

A little different from their usual fare; here RHP sound a little like My Bloody Valentine - the piano version of this song is probably my favourite though.
Mark Kozelek - Up To My Neck In You
Mark had the idea to take AC/DC lyrics and set them to his own new songs. I don't know why either.

I only found this just now. I like it.
Red House Painters split in the late 90's and released several records on 4AD during the early part of that decade. Mark now performs solo and in the band Sun Kil Moon.
