i picked up the ladies' (zach hill and rob crow) album 'they mean us' the other day, and i reckon it's worth a listen to anybody who's into either.

in places it's surprisingly close to the middle ground you might be hearing in your head right now - an altogether easier listen than hella (and has vocals) but wonkier than pinback.

i think this was all put rather similarly and more eloquently on the sticker on the front, but i'm not much of a writer... check it out though!
