Tennents Vital

So I went to that festival yesterday in Belfast. It was good fun, although some of the music was a bit dodgy at times..

I felt a bit sorry for Ed Harcourt, clearly no one knew who he was, and he had sound problems from the very beginning of his set. He did well to recover though, he played a good set.

Now, I know Editors get a lot of stick from this board, but I think they're good, especially live. Their slow songs are awful, I'll admit that much, but they were much better than Snow Patrol.

Snow Patrol were.......meh. They only played one "old song", Olive Grove Facing The Sea. They did the whole "best gig we've ever done" thing as well. Ha. Underwhelming to say the least. Yet people near me were crying. Fuck sake, I mean they were ok, but how can someone get so emotional watching an OK performance..

Oceansize were excellent though in the tent. Really good live.

What's funny is, this is Northern Irelands' equivalent of V. That's right...
