Does Yorke have to do it all on his own? Why is modern muisc, mainstream or independent, of any genre, just packed full of grinning, happy, contented, jovial, merry types. Why are there no grumpy miserable sods? There used to be, when I was young. Not any more.

This lack of despair, fatalism and downright gloom will have a negative effect on the music-loving youth of today. None of them/you will be infused with the grey doom that was such a strong feature of my teenage musical experience. I pity them/you.
