Im getting really pissed off now by the number of these "new" band tagging themselves in with diy acts.

I was flicking through nme today and saw the article with good shoes and ryhs was saying how important Diy is to him, i though yeah right, they are on a major label, don't book their owns shows. A press officer would have go them the article.

I see it alot now, nme branding all these bands as "diy art punks" etc etc.

I really like good shoes, and i have no problem with bands who have agents, major label deals etc. It really grates on me when bands try and retain some element of cool by claiming to be from some diy community!

Has anyone else noticed this of late?
