once, my friend, his boyfriend and his mum were going to see anthony and the johnsons in bristol. to go to this gig they'd already cancelled going to see ryan adams (already seen him before), so it had taken a lot of sorting out, including getting the anthony tickets off ebay for £40 each. so after the 2 hour drive to the venue, they park, go to the doors, and realise that everything seems a little bit quiet.

it turns out that the anthony and the johnsons gig had been the night before. cue a long, quiet and very awkward drive home.
