it suddenly stops and you hear an answerphone message from one band member saying 'yeah well i had some ideas for the chorus, i think it should go 'sam sam sam who the hell do you think you're fooling'.', and then it launches back into the song and the chorus plays and its completely different. i laughed. not a rofl, or a lol, but still a sound.

favourite moment of pomo tomfoolery in a song? anyone?

i also like ryan adams - anyone wanna take me home, a very obvious smiths pastiche with a lovely fade in/out near the end a la some girls are bigger than others.
