Gigs in big venues

chiaroscuro [Edit] [Delete] 14:13, 25 October '06

Last night's experience at the Scala really made me remember how much I hate big venues.

1. Queues
2. Unreasonably expensive tickets, rendered comparatively more expensive by said queues which make you miss half the music
3. Increasingly ridiculous security, hence even longer queues
4. Stupidly expensive drinks
5. No intimacy, hence generally shit atmosphere when listening to anything that isn't very loud and guitar based, in which case, the sound is often terrible

Honestly, fuck this. If the fact that I resent having to go through this shit when a band I like becomes vaguely popular make me a snob, then sue me.
