The "Feedbacking" shouts at the end of track 1 from the new Apples In Stereo album

ma0sm [Edit] [Delete] 15:28, 31 October '06

Does anybody know the origin of these quotes? I only ask because I was talking to a workmate recently about our mutual like of Elephant 6 bands when he revealed that he'd seen Apples In Stereo in 2002 but ended up leaving half way through because the sound was just too awful to bear (I found a review of said gig here: http://www.kittenpainting.co.uk/apples.html).

Fast forward to a few days later and I'm listening to the new album and as track one draws to a close, it merges into what sounds like a live recording with hordes of English accents shouting "It's too loud!" "Turn it down!" "It's feedbacking (sic)!" etc. causing me to jolt, thinking that somehow I was imagining that I'd turned the music on in the first place and in fact all of this song had just been a mish-mash of memory and imagination (I was ill at the time).

Anyway, does anyone know if this is the gig those recordings came from? Was anyone else here? My workmate's trying to claim the rights to the feedbacking quote, but I'm not so sure...
