Margot & The Nuclear So & So's

bamos [Edit] [Delete] 12:47, 20 November '06

I FINALLY got hold of this album at the weekend. And fuck me, it's bloody astounding.

Apart from one track, it's pretty much perfect. There are one or two songs on it that I would describe as genuinely amazing, I really would, and the rest are pretty much great.

If you like...well, anything sort of melodic, laid-back, including a little bit of strings here and there, with some melodic guitar...in a similar vein to stuff *like* The Shins, Rogue Wave, Most Serene Republic (kinda) etc, but not actually *like* them. If that makes sense? I've only listened to it three times so far, so more inept comparisons will surely follow. But for now, that's as close as I'm going to get. And I shall refine those. Or change them completely. Anyway. For now, get on Hype Machine and search for 'On A Freezing Chicago Street'. PLEASE?

It's my current favourite album. Just ahead of Wolf Eyes :)
