Browsed through the NME in smiths today and guess what?! The Manic Street Preachers are back!! Well, they can turn back round and fuck off again for all i care. A long time ago, in an era far far away, they were charming, funny, silly and exciting. All of those traits have deserted them in the past few years and we're just left with a trio of pie-eating, tiresomely contrary poseurs with nothing relevant left to say. They slag Arcade fire for being preachy and pious and then big up Johnny Borrell for being 'a nasty cunt!' cos' thats Rock n'Roll! But wasnt Mr Borrell one of the more Sanctimonius voices hanging out of Bono's arse during live-8? See, their totally out of touch. They havent made a decent album since 'The Holy Bible' and even that was marred by a pro-death penalty song - thanx for that Richey. If only they had all vanished together back in 95...now that would be Rock n' Roll!
