Guns, music and the media
Once again, I guess we should all be braced for the usual US media witch-hunt after the terrible events of this morning - far be it that the native American indians are subject to abject poverty and poverty in turn often leads to crime (and so on).
But today, I'm in a slightly altered state of mind. Apparently at the Nas gig in Brixton last night gunshots were fired. What the fuck? This is hardly the first time something like this has happened in Britain this year alone. Is music (in particular gang-related hip-hop) to blame, albeit only in part, in glamourising gun-culuture?
I've no idea really, and throw down the debating gauntlet to anyone interested...
