God that was incredible, so dark, no wave. Gorgeous. I am in love. Obviously the first two tracks almost made the night worthwhile by themselves; I can't believe I just saw Sonic Youth play Silver Rocket! Swoon.

I was a bit unsure after the immense "Ca-nn-dle" I wasn't sure of the last time I had got past that point of the record, but wow, unknowing was almost more wonderful. Chiming against each other, this band is surely the best. Ever. Right?

The encore only showed that in twenty years there has been absolutely no dilution in standards.
