so after chatting to matt i-deserve about punk malarkey on friday, and cos i was at home in my old room in soton that night, i managed to pick up a pile of old copies of this and read em on the train home.

turns out it was hella awesome, more awesome than i remember in fact. articles about the starts of the chicago post-rock scene, one about Electrical Audio, interviews with Sweep The Leg Johnny, Jessica Hopper's best columns, a massive 15 page article about the 1994 punk explosion and all of the bands that got signed to majors and screwed (Jawbox, Smoking Popes etc), plus the funniest bits were the DIY pages...DIY shopping, DIY cooking, DIY sex (how to tell if you've got crabs from your local punk hos!).

plus its full of adverts for screeching weazel and dillinger four and stuff.

basically i miss it.
