Should I correct is or leave it as it is?

theguywithnousername [Edit] [Delete] 12:48, 4 September '07

So I'm putting a gig on at the George Tavern on the 25th.

I've just checked their Myspace and they've billed it as an acoustic evening. It really, really isn't an acoustic evening.

Part of me wants the amusement of people turning up to see James Blunt-esque people and being faced by noisy post-punk bands. Part of me thinks I ought to correct it.

Bear in mind:

a) I never said anything to make 'em think it was an acoustic evening. I've done gigs there before so they ought to realise...

b) It's a free gig so no-one's gonna pay for somethng they don't want to see

c) I reckon most people will be there via me and the other bands' plugging anyway and I don't expect to get much passing trade via the website.

So do I correct it? Does anyone care?

Find out next week in "Pointless thread boy and the rise of the DiSers..."
