Criticising things on principle which turn out to be good

theguywithnousername [Edit] [Delete] 11:51, 7 September '07

So yesterday I got into an argument when I criticised the published lyrics of Battles' Atlas as being "fucking shite" without having heard the song.

Although the lyrics to Battles' Atlas are clearly, as lyrics, indeed "fucking shite" a subsequent listen to the song (followed by several more listens in quick succession) revealed said song to actually be pretty damn good and the lyrics to work with the song.

So I was wrong, sort of. And feel silly for getting into argument in the first place.

Does anyone else have a habit of getting in arguments despite the risk of complete lack of knowledge of subject catching you out?
