Apologies for probably boring most of you...

I'm trying to get an idea of the costs and procedures involved in getting an album from the small label I help out with on emusic and other legal download sites.

I've got as far as being directed to The Orchard from emusic, and feel a little daunted (chasing up performance rights for being played on an internet broadcast medium automatically?,etc)

Basically, has anyone here ever put an album up for sale digitally? If so, what did you do, how did you do it, and do you have any advice for people looking at getting involved in the world of digital sales?
