Brant Bjork last night at Barfly was great! id never seen Brant with The Bros before and was very pleasently suprised! They got some really crunchy layed back grooves as well as the head-down-horns-up tunes of the most notable workings: Kyuss, Fu Manchu early qotsa!! great stuff! I also got to say HELLO and generally be annoying backstage afterwards! afterall as a drum-nut the guy is kind of a legend to me and got me a RAD pic with the Boys Deal (think i might refer them as this from now on) and Brant with the rest of the Bros! Mike Pygme, The Bros drummer was more thn happy to share a weed jay with me as we packed up! I can never reallly remember The Barfly from the 4 or 5 odd times ive been there - always too wasted, but the sound last night was great! esp. The Deal as they always have to have volume higher than the rest! The Deal set was obviously FLAWLESS as per...and the new tunes (Venomized, Mutant something...) where great and provided a lil variety as the Bens are trying to make their sets sound less like one big metal-punk tune! All in all a proper safe-BO night and im way looking forward to THE WINNEBAGO GENERATOR later this month! Im gonna catch the Forum and Zodiac dates.....
