a band of my acquaintance is currently recruiting a street team to put up their posters and flyers and stuff.

Part of me thinks 'ugh, sinister marketing' but another part of me thinks 'well if someone likes a band enough to get out there and help them in return for a few freebies then why not?'.

Which part of me is right, and which is a massively stupid cunt?
