Several questions arise.

1. Should we blame them for pop/punk?
2. Howard DeVoto or Pete Shelley?
3. Should they have reformed?
4. Are the Singles/Greatest Hits package all we need to know about them Rainman?
5. Magazine or Buzzcocks?

1. Yes. They started it all. Yer Green Days, Offspring all that rubbish can be traced to the brilliance that once was the Buzzcocks.
2. Depends on the time of day. Either answer is correct here. Shelley was brilliant on guitar. DeVoto could pen a tune.
3. Fuck no.
4. Yeah, unfortunately. I say unfortunately cos they were so good it's a shame they haven't more to show for it.
5. Again, either answer is correct here. Last year I would have said Magazine. Today I lean the other way.
