Following on from restlessboy's boring bands thread, what new bands have you seen in the last year that have excited you?

In the interests of fairness I'd like to set the following 3 rules:

a) You are not a member of said band

b) Prior to seeing them live, you were neither friends with nor related to said band

c) You have no personal gain from mentioning said band on here

d) No more than 3 bands per person.

My choices would be The Heartwear Process, The Outdoor Types and Tim Ten Yen.
