so I go to see Popular Workshop (who were great) and Kotki Dwa (who were disappointing) at '229'

Get there and cant see anything as it's so dark inside, anyway, £3 a pint (fair enough I guess)

No DJ, no mixtape, Massive Attack's greates thits on the PA. Great choice for the evening that, yeah, set's the mood for the bands perfectly :/

band on. band off. Massive Attack again. band on (Popshop - again, great set) and off. songs for the deaf on.

now even if you are going to stick an album on between bands, this is about the worst to choose as it has 2minute gaps of radio shite between the rock.

I then get a pint and about 30 seconds later a bouncer comes round telling everyone to finish their drinks.

about 5 minutes later we literally have to leave it seems, despite it saying it was open for another hour.

was this a club night? was this anything. what just happened. what was the point?

and then people think I'm odd for not straying from South East London that much.
