"I took the difficult decision to cancel the french tour in November. I also decided to stop promoting my music from today.
I decided to give up music, in the way i've been doing it for the past 3 years, because the energy that made me record albums and go on tour has now ran out.
I suffered last week from instabilities that i believe are a consequence of the way of life music has put me into.
It is time for me to go back to a more peaceful state and to live music as a past time . The website (www.kidfrancois.com) will still be updated with home recordings and new artwork.

I will play a last public show in Paris at le Centre Pompidou on the 1st february.
I would like to thank all the people who have help me on my way, friends, promoters and musicians.

i'm so sad about this, francois was easily one of my favourite artists and people. literally the nicest guy too; his new record had people from electrelane and sleeping states on it...and he's put it all up for free on his site. it sounds soooo good too. hopefully maybe he'll reconsider when he feels better...
