a) Unimaginative and bland indie bands that hang around for one album and churn out two or three singles that seem to serve only as content for Radio One and the NME Chart Show (The Wombats, Pigeon Detectives etc)

c) 'Lad rock' bands (Hard Fi, The Twang, The Enemy etc) who have nothing other than "living for the weekend" and hating their "nine-to-five" to sing about
