The forthcoming Rivers Cuomo solo record and the as yet untitled sixth Weezer record will be works of such sonic majesty that the world may well spin off its axis and collide with the sun, thereby bringing an end to all life on earth.

As such, these two records will stand as the final and indeed greatest endeavours of mankind.

Make Believe was an aberration, a musical war crime of such epic proportions that it only really appealed to Weezer completists and the mentally ill (admittedly there is significant overlap between these two demographics).

It was Weezer's equivalent to Black Flag's The Process of Weeding Out, that is a record designed to scare away the fairweather fans, those who have failed to invite the prophet Rivers into their hearts.
