so last night i went to a gig at a venue i've never been, "Terrys" Bar in Trowbridge. it was a decent sized venue and was quite friendly, until the music started really.

the two opening acts were average and didn't really get the crowd moving at all so no problems here. as soon as Devil Sold His Soul came on after playing the first track on A Fragile Hope which, as anyone who's heard it will know, leads straight into a loud heavy number. at this point, obviously moshing followed, however the "locals" took it upon themselves to, for want of a better word.. own the pit. anyone who wasn't in their clique was immediatly disposed of, windmill punching, roundhouse kicks etc. it was ridiculous. i was in the middle for the first song, came out with both lips bust and blood all over my hands.

as the night went on, 3 fights broke out in the middle between one particularly big guy who wasn't having anyone else in the pit with him, tank top, ponytail, camo shorts etc. after 4 DSHS songs the PA blew. leaving the guy who presents RockSound tv (Architects manager) runnning around franticaly as the gig was being filmed.

anyway they eventually got it back up and running so everything was running smoothly again. Architects come on and announce "this song is for the cunt who thinks it's acceptable to steal ours and DSHS's merch whilst we sort out this fucked PA, come forward you prick". now, i'm not quite sure what prompted this however a second later.. a mid-sized "scene" kid walked up to the front, said it was him and hit the Architects lead singer. seconds later he was dragged out by almost the entirety of the crowd, roadies and a few band members.

if you've got this far i'm just interested in any gigs that you yourselves have put on that've got out of hand or resulted in fights between bands/fans.
