Sort of in the same way as punk was but obviously not just ripping off punk 'cos that would in no way constitute an actual revolution.

I haven't really thought through yet how to do this or if it's even possible but too many bands seem to sound the same and don't excite me very much. There's some exciting 'niche' bands but I think it's time all the exciting niche bands actually tried to overthrow the mainstream. Anyone fancy helping me formulate a plan to do this?
