JOHN MAUS
Austin, Minnesota's John Maus is a maniac on a bloody crusade - a tortured evangelist on a mercenary quest to rid our world of villainous defilers of The Gospel of True Love. By turns shockingly infectious and disarmingly unpredictable, his music conflates a perplexing marriage of Moroder's 'Never Ending Story' and classical 12-tone renegades of 20th century past, harking THE NEW path which resurrects romance from its post-modern shackles, and reignites the promise of a better world. John's second album 'Love Is Real' is out now on UTR and sees the man step out of the shadow of assoicates Arial Pink and Panda Bear with an apocalyptic journey through the nostalgic streets of home towns deep into the recesses of the human heart. It's a mixture of exploratory synthesiser theatrics, tensely-strung bass lines and insistent drum machine clicks and pops, all set off by John's deeply resonant reverb-drenched vocal.

SIC ALPS
Sic Alps are a lysergic rock and roll two-piece from San Francisco, CA - Matt (Coachwhips, Cat Power) plays drums, guitars, sings etc and Mike (Big Techno Werewolves, Sounds of the Barbary Coast, Yikes!) plays guitars and sings. Formed in 2004, they have released a variety of singles, EPs and cassettes on City Record, Folding, Mt. St. Mtn., Skulltones, Woodsist and Awesome Vistas, as well as the critically acclaimed "Pleasures and Treasures" LP on Animal Disguise Recordings. Late 2007 finds them touring both the US and Europe with a new double LP on Animal Disguise slated for release in early 2008.

SOFT CIRCLE
Soft Circle consists of one member, Hisham, a former member of Black Dice - on all earlier releases up 'til 'Creature Comforts' - as well as being in an early incarnation of Lightning Bolt. Soft Circle is his current solo music project, which sees Hisham simultaneously play guitar, drums, electronic percussion and sing. Soft Circle's goal is to create pure sonic vibrations that come from within. Look out for his first album 'Full Bloom' available now on Eastern Developments.

GOWNS
Gowns are a band as haunting as they are haunted. Searching for salvation amongst the clutter of our everyday existence they tell us stories of never-ending summers, broken lives and shining revelation, all soaked in the dirty realism of a wilderness America. Revolving around the partnership of Erika Anderson - previously the guitar wrangler in Amps For Christ - and Ezra Buchla - ex-horror show vocalist and programmer for The Mae Shi - Gowns cast an apocalyptic net over a broad church of influences, hauling in their fractured folk songs with cracked electronics, lending their confessional lyrics the directness of a spooked grunge approach, whilst embracing their smart oscillating pop with troubled atmospherics. Their debut full-length 'Red State' is out now on UTR and Erika and Ezra will be joined by improv-drummer Jacob Felix Heule (also of Ettrick) and bassist Daniel Brummel (also of Ozma) for this tour.
