Signed Sealed Delivered: David Gray & Acetone

splinx [Edit] [Delete] 10:26, 11 February '08

OK... I was trying to get glue off my floor and decided I needed some Acetone, then thought about Acetone the band, went to put on the album, realised I didn't have it. Remembered this Virgin Compilation from about 1993 I had, called Signed Sealed and Delivered, it cost 1.99. It had Acetone on, so put that on... Imagine my surprise when after such gems as:

Smashing pumpkins - Geek
Smash - Real Surreal
These Animal Men - Jobs for the boys
Verve - Butterfly
Acetone - Pinch

Followed....................

David Gray... haha, 1993?! He sounded less like Cuntplay and more like Steve White, a bit angry like. I checked the sleeve and it's the same bloke, he looked as annoying and smug back then. Well I never.

Just thought I'd share the embarrassment of realising I had a David Gray record. Has this happened to anyone else? Got a dodgy copy of Now 21 hiding about anywhere with some terrible band like the Manics on it? :)
