Gaaaaah! One of my mates has been insisting i give the Cribs another chance. I saw they live last year and thought they were awful.

So they have a new album coming out, and i happen to have a promo copy of it. I was just going to stick it in the pile marked 'Wut?' but at my friends insistence i decided to give them a second chance.

Let me just get something off my chest here. The Cribs are from Yorkshire yeah? So how come on this album they sound like most of that NME/Libertine championed drivel that vomits out of London every other month armed with tattoos brandishing the slogan 'Next Big Thing'! I have nothing against London bands at all, but i have plenty against any band they seems to enjoy sounding like everyone elses mum! It would be ok if the songs were strong, but they ain't.

Weak assed tarted up NME Indie Kid Fodder. It'll probably sell a ton. One for the kids, not one for me!
